I had the opportunity to meet a young man at the Cinema last week. We got talking immediately after he overheard me talking about flying on the phone.
He introduced himself and i did thesame too. we got to chat about alot of things and he told me how he wanted to be a pilot but couldn’t, due to paucity of fund.
He said something that raised my eyebrow after i asked him why he wanted to be a pilot.
I’ve met and heard alot of people saying they love the profession for the pay and the lifestyle. I’d like to advise aspiring aviators to only consider being a pilot if they have the passion for it.
“You have to be burning with an idea, or a problem, or a wrong that you want to right. If you’re not passionate enough from the start, you’ll never stick it out.”
